  1. Let butter stand in room temperature until medium soft. Preheat oven to 350F
  2. Sift flour, sugar, and salt into medium bowl, add rest of ingredients
  3. With your hands work all ingredients together, mixing well. Then turn sough in to lightly floured baking board and gently work a few seconds until dough is formed
  4. Pinch off pieces of dough to size of a big hazelnut and place in form and with your thumb even out the press dough in the bottom and sides of form
  5. Be careful not to let the dough extend above edge of form, as edges might break when shell is removed from form. An easy way to eliminate that, is to press finished form against palm of hand
  6. Bake

  1. Mix together all ingredients and fill baked, cooled shells
  2. Then put your choice of Pepper Jelly on top of filling

Savory Pepper Jelly Thumbprint Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 375°
  2. Blend cheese, flour, and butter in food processor or a mixer until dough is well incorporated and forms into a ball.
  3. Shape dough into 1¼ in. balls (I used a small cookie scoop)
  4. Place on cookie sheet ½ in. apart. Bake in preheated oven for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven, make indentation in each cookie.
  6. Spoon about 1 tsp of pepper jelly into each cookie.
  7. Put back into the oven for another 5 minutes or until golden brown on the edges.
